I am a decent programmer. I know a decent amount of computer science theory, I can type correct code fairly easy. I don’t let my classes expand too much. But I still struggle some with math, and I have a tendency to have too many cross-dependencies in my code.

I used to think I was an awesome…

Hey Notch, I hope I am sending this message to the right guy, and the right place, first time using Tumblr. Well anyways im just here to ask for a little help. I am a 15 year old kid whos name is Phil and I live in Australia. I have been into coding for the last 2 years.
I have just not really found the right place to start. Because of my age I find it really hard to get help with learning how to make codes and all. This is mainly because im to young for Uni and others just think im to young
to learn this kind of thing. Although I have been told this and understand that I am to young to choose a subject for computer coding at school, well I am not giving up. I have seen your video up on youtube of an interview and a
tour around your Mojang company. I have seen in this video that you said you started coding since you were 8 years old. This is telling me that you found a way to start coding before you had any options for professional coding.
This video is encouraging me to keep going, and so I have gone through all of youtube watching I would say probably over 200 videos as well as searching over the net for free coding help. All the searching I have done has not really
gotten me anywhere so I thought its time to ask the best. And yes this happens to be the Mojang team.

I to have been telling all my friends how I would like to have a future of making games, and well they always reply probably 1 in 1000 people will become a well known game maker, they never said that I dont have a chance, but im sure
they certainly think I dont. This now has me a set goal, my goal is to become the 1 person out of 1000 just like you have. My plan is not to give up, first of all just know how to code, and well then plan out a game to create.
I mean the future of coders are yet to come, so why not make a start and become one of those future coders.

Sorry about all I said above, ill now get to the point. I understand that you are very short with time having to code what is the biggest game on the Earth today. But I am just asking if you are able to help me out in any way with
learning how to code. I mean some kind of live talking to teach me would be the greatest, but yes I do understand that you have a lot of work so maby if you could just send me some good links or files to help teach me with my coding.
I dont know maby if you do find a little spare time you could create your own coding tutorial through some document and send it over to me?

Anyway thanks a lot for reading this and I hope you do find some time on you.

- Phil
